Position Description

Join CGIs dynamic team charged with developing and modernizing the IT systems for a Federal agency that helps make affordable housing a reality for millions of Americans. The Senior Systems Engineer/Analyst will be responsible for providing technical engineering expertise, including all engineering activities required to design, implement, document, and support various hardware/software solutions. This senior level position is a great way to support a vital Federal mission and advance your career with CGI, a premier systems integrator and application development firm.

Your future duties and responsibilities

As a member of a DevOps engineering team, partner closely with software development teams and operations teams, and be responsible for building and supporting CI/CD platforms, environment buildout and support, software build and releases, automation solutions, installing and configuring application software
Support application modernization, virtualization, and migration tasks for transition from legacy systems
Conduct engineering analyses on legacy environment, establish requirements, dependencies, and risks associated with transitioning systems
Support the design, implementation, and ongoing management of systems that deliver against strict requirements for functionality, scalability, performance, and reliability
Benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of systems and virtual infrastructure

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Understanding of Agile, DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Good Time management and organizational skills
Ability to tackle challenging work independently or in a team environment
Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and environments
Advanced verbal and written communications skills
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related technical field desired/equivalent experience
